If you are looking for a recipe for homemade organic taco seasoning, look no further. Ditch the extra additives the store-bought versions offer. Make your own! I love this one, it’s one of our families’ favorite seasonings. It’s very easy to make. I hope you enjoy it as well.
Why Make Your Own Organic Taco Seasoning?
Most store-bought seasoning mixes are often loaded with additives, preservatives, and artificial ingredients that can be harmful to your health. They also contain high fructose corn syrup and gluten, and fillers not needed to add flavor. Besides, homemade seasoning blends, on the other hand, are free from these harmful additives, making them a healthier and safer alternative. I know I don’t want to add those extras into our food, so I make it homemade.
I use Maria Emmerich’s Recipe but with twist. I’ve added organic ingredients and I make a much bigger batch, about 6 times her single recipe this saves time. Also, I share links for buying bulk seasonings to save money. Those amounts are listed below. Also, a sweetener is optional, I don’t use it.
Tools Needed
Basically, you’ll want to use a food processor (optional) and a coffee grinder. I prefer a coffee grinder for grinding the larger spices into a fine powder.
