Keto Berry Dessert (Doughen)

My family calls it Doughen pronounced (dough-gin), I decided to call it Keto Berry Dessert. Not even 100% sure how to spell that pronunciation and google was not helpful. Keto Berry Dessert will make more sense for more people and be a much easier search.

We make this dessert often. It’s great during berry picking time or for a taste of summer in the winter. It’s delicious for breakfast or as a dessert. Although I also love it because it only uses one pan and one bowl, so less mess to clean up.

The original recipe was not Keto. It took me a few trials to get it just right. I bet you’ll be surprised at how good it is. And surprisingly it’s actually good for you too. This dessert contains a healthy dose of protein. 8 grams per serving.

Keto Berry Dessert (Doughen)

Ingredients:

1/2 Stick of Organic Valley Unsalted Organic Butter

8 Whole Organic Chicken Eggs (Duck or Chicken work Great).

3 Tbsp. Further Food Gelatin (use coupon code 360WELLNESSJOURNEY)

2 Scoops Jay Robb Vanilla Egg White Protein Powder

1 tsp Organic Vanilla

1/2 Cup Lakanto Powdered Monk Fruit

2 Cups Organic Berries, I prefer Blueberries and Raspberries.

1/2 Cup Lakanto Granulated Organic Monk Fruit

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Immediately put in 9X13 pan with your 1/2 stick of butter to melt as the oven preheats.

Next, whisk together the eggs, gelatin and protein powder until most of the lumps are broken up. Then add the vanilla and the 1/2 cup powdered Monk Fruit. Mix well.

Next, when the butter is melted and the oven is hot, pour your batter mix into the butter and pan. Immediately top with the berries of your choice and spread as evenly as possible.

Then Sprinkle on the last 1/2 cup of granulated Monk Fruit. It’ll look like this picture. 

Then bake for 20-25 minutes. 

Cool Completely, when it is done. However, it is yummy warm too. Then cut into 12 servings or squares.

Finally the finished dessert will look like the cover image. Refrigerate any leftovers. The top will have a crisp sugar bark and the bar will be dense and delicious!
